NodePing offers free SSL certificates for public reports and status pages with custom domains through ACME certificate providers like Let's Encrypt™. The SSL certs are available on our 'Professional' and 'Premeire' plans only. Below you'll find the instructions on what you need to configure to get SSL working for your public reports and status pages that have custom domains configured.
In the report configuration, add the FQDN you control to the 'Custom Domain' field in the 'General Settings' tab. Example: 'status.example.com'
You'll need to set two CNAME records in your DNS for the custom domain.
Once you have made these changes, your DNS changes have to propogate, and our system needs some time to pick up on the DNS changes and request the certificates. This might take a few hours.
If more than 12 hours have elapsed since you set the domain on the report and set the two required CNAME records and your SSL still isn't working, please reach out to us and we'll be happy to help sort it out.
